Hey if you're a "be gay, do crimes" kind of person but you think shoplifting is scary please remember that you can usually block the locks on bathroom doors like this with a thin piece of plastic (like a shopping rewards card or a strip cut off of a laminated sign) and duct tape OR you can likely remove the locking mechanism in about 3 minutes with a Phillips head screwdriver and some practice.
Also remember that scanning random-ass QR codes is dangerous and laminators are cheap. If you see a service that requires the use of a qr code that could have been taped to the wall by anyone, you should 100% call the people in charge of that service to complain and you should not scan that code. Whether you put up a matching sign with a different qr code and write below it "one of these could be a virus, don't scan unknown qr codes" is up to you.
